The Bay Area Carrom Association (BACA) was born out of a shared passion for the game of carrom among a small group of enthusiasts in the San Francisco Bay Area. What began as informal weekend gatherings in garage setups quickly blossomed into a vision for a structured organization that could support players of all skill levels and ages across the region.
To establish a formal framework and support its growing activities, BACA was officially registered as a public service non-profit corporation in the State of California, earning its federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit status. Since its inception, BACA has remained a purely volunteer-driven, non-political, non-religious organization dedicated entirely to community development and sports promotion.
Affiliation & Competitive Growth
A key milestone in BACA's journey was its official affiliation with the United States Carrom Association (USCA). This partnership aligned the local Bay Area community with national standards, enabling BACA to organize USCA-sanctioned ranking tournaments and provide local players with direct opportunities to compete on the national stage.
Through annual state-level tournaments, youth development workshops, and community events, BACA has introduced the sport to a wider audience, nurturing a diverse, healthy, and highly engaged community of carrom players in the Bay Area.
